Meet Dakota!

Dakota is a retired quarter horse, over 30 yr old.

I was needing a new home, as my previous owners did not want me anymore. They purchased me for their granddaughter, but she wanted nothing to do with me. So, I was abandoned.

I heard that someone reached out to Jackpots Animal Refuge and they had a spot so I move here and I haven’t looked back.

I get pets and baths I love to get all clean, grassy on grass and hay. Soaking up the sun. I have made many friends here. I am a bit sneaky at times, I am known to get into the cars and take out some of the food when I am really hungry which is all the time.

My caregivers here make sure I am taken care of and loved. This is by far the most attention I have ever had. Today is bath day. Gotta go!
